Mission/objectives: Sustainability / Sustainable Development Goals

IT4S research group is a consolidated research group (2021-SGR-00512), officially recognized by the University and Research Grant Management Agency (AGAUR) under the Catalan Government.

The mission of IT4S research group of the University of Lleida is to conduct research and disseminate knowledge pertaining to innovative technologies that promote sustainability and sustainable development in the fields of architecture and engineering.

With a focus on the built environment, the group acknowledges that sustainability can only be achieved through multidisciplinary collaborations, wherein  individuals from various disciplines and professions work  together towards a common purpose.

The group collaborates with both private companies and public administration to collectively address some of the environmental, social, and economic challenges established in the Sustainable Development Goals agenda (https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/).

The group’s activities are centred around research, providing consultancy services, disseminating knowledge, and raising awareness about sustainability. This is achieved through scientific communications, public events, and academic activities.
