  • Short description
    • Official technical regulations (CTE-DB-HE) and European directives in the field of energy efficiency of buildings (NZEB) are largely focused on reducing the demand and consumption of buildings. To achieve these goals, it is necessary to improve the behavior of the thermal envelope of buildings. Conventional strategies seek, on the one hand, to reduce the thermal transmittances of the enclosures and, therefore, the energy losses of the surrounding area. On the other hand, proper management of solar gains through windows in the summer and winter seasons appears to be a powerful tool for reducing the energy demands of buildings. In addition to the purely energy assessment of buildings, there is a growing demand from society for sustainable technological solutions. The main objective was to develop innovative, sustainable and energy efficient construction solutions. These solutions had to be able to be integrated into the industrial manufacturing process of the buildings, which is one of the particularities of the products developed by the company Prêt-à-Porter cases (PMP). In addition, the economic viability of the solutions developed was a necessary condition for their integration into the final product in the medium term.
